More than 30 kids came along to Sale United this week for the 2nd Week of the Summer Soccer School. All of them enjoyed a combination of football skills coaching and fun and games.
In spite of the hot and sticky weather they were all keen to play football all day, and the old line 'when are we having a game' rang through the coaches' ears from the 9.30 start until they all went home at 3.30. Many of the players will be returning for 'extra weeks' based on their enjoyment of the sessions, and a number of them have already signed-on as new players for next season.
Chief coach and event organiser Phil Dennison, ably assisted by his more youthful coaching team, were kept busy all week but are looking forward to the week's final session on Friday which will consist of a 'Dutch Vision Tournament' with medals and certificates being given out at the end of the day. Based on the effort and skills shown today, they will have a difficult decision to make to choose their player of the week.
