Transition football

Boys aged 10 but under 11 on 31st August 2004 will move from 7-a-side football to the full 11-a-side game in the coming new 2004/5 season.
To help Clubs and players make this transition Sale United are holding an 11-a-side tournament for these boys over the weekend of September 4th and 5th at the Crossford Bridge site.Squads of up to 20 players will be allowed, to enable as many boys as possible to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Squads will be competing for the “Eric Speake Cup” in memory of our former Club Secretary and Open Age team manager who sadly passed away after a short illness in August 2003.
Cost of entry into the competition is £60 and an Application Form can be downloaded from this site. As the tournament has been postponed from the original date in August, the deadline for application forms has also moved to 3rd September - however you must register your interest before 1st September by phoning the club on 0161 905 3099
